What CUT. is
CUT. is a film and TV discovery app. It presents trailers, title pages and selections, then points you to the legal platforms that carry the title. CUT. hosts, streams and provides no films or series whatsoever.
Access to the service
The app is usable without an account. Creating an account lets you find your lists again across your devices. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.
Expected use
- Do not attempt to extract the service's content in bulk by automated means.
- Do not circumvent technical limitations, or disrupt the operation of the service.
- Do not publish unlawful content, or content infringing the rights of others — whether a profile picture, a handle, a bio or a review.
Published content: zero tolerance
CUT. lets you publish reviews, a handle, a bio and a picture, and follow other members. What you publish is your responsibility.
No offensive content is tolerated, and no abusive behaviour towards another member is tolerated either. This includes, in particular: hateful or discriminatory speech, harassment, threats, sexual or shocking content, and spam.
- Report — a long press on a review opens the reporting flow; a showcase's menu lets you report the profile itself.
- Block — the same gesture makes a member disappear from your screens, immediately and without waiting for us. Only you know you have blocked them.
- Our commitment — every report is reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaches these rules is removed, and its author may lose access to the service, permanently in serious or repeated cases.
CUT+
CUT+ is an optional one-time purchase, billed once through the App Store. It is not a subscription: there is no renewal date, no automatic charge and nothing to cancel. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, restores on your other devices from the « Restore purchase » button, and is shared with your Family Sharing group. Refund requests are handled by Apple.
Intellectual property
The CUT. name, its logo, its interface and its design system are protected. The titles, posters, images and trailers presented in the app and on this site remain the property of their respective rights holders and are displayed for information and reference purposes. Metadata comes from the TMDb API; this product is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.
The ratings shown on title pages come from third-party sources, cited as such. Letterboxd is a trademark of Letterboxd Limited; Rotten Tomatoes and Tomatometer are trademarks of Fandango Media, LLC. CUT. is affiliated with none of them, endorsed by none of them, and claims no right over their trademarks: they appear only to say where the rating you are reading comes from.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as is. Streaming availability information comes from third-party sources and may be incomplete or out of date. We guarantee neither the continuity of the service nor the permanent accuracy of that information.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend access in cases of manifestly abusive use of the service, or of breach of the publishing rules above.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. In the event of a substantial change, we inform users who have an account.
