Action is the genre where the gap between the promise and the result is widest. Two films can announce exactly the same thing and deliver, for one, scenes that are legible and held, for the other, cutting so choppy you can't see anything. No synopsis tells them apart. Ten seconds of footage tells them apart entirely.
CUT.'s "Adrenaline rush" mood covers three distinct families: pure action, where movement is the subject; the war film, which adds scale and a collective stake; and the fight film, tighter, where everything rests on the choreography. You aren't in the same mood on different evenings, and the "Action" label confuses all three.
Seeing the trailer first settles the most concrete question of all: are the scenes filmed in a way you can follow. That's what separates a good evening from an hour of noise — and it can be judged immediately.
